Wow! - What a year for stories... It has been sometime, a time of grief and true depression and a rise from the ashes. God says he can make good from all things. Sometimes it is hard to see when we are in the midst of the storms. The weatherman tells you a storm is coming. You prepare the best you can with the information you have in front of you. It also depends how much time you have to prepare. Life is not fair and we know that there will be storms, so why is it so difficult to for us to believe and/or accept the chaos in our life. It is not about the storms, it is about our response to the storms. One of my favorite things to remind others is not to ask God for patience but to beg for WISDOM!!! The richest man in the Bible was given this very request. God asked what he wanted and he requested WISDOM. If Solomon, could have anything and requested WISDOM, then that is what I want too! So, ask for the WISDOM to get through the storm. My storm this year has been one of the hardest in the last two decades. I hit a dark wall that I hadn't seen in a long time. I knew it was coming. I sensed the changes. Mom had been sick for awhile, changes with my children, and finding the quiet very quiet and alone. As a child of God, I know that I am never alone. God is beside me the whole time, and looking back I know He has held me tight all along the way. That does not change the fact that in the visible world, I was alone. This past year my pastor did a great presentation of our identity in Christ. (the short clip is below)... So, how is it that we become strong. Like any athlete or professional, it takes lots of learning and practicing the beliefs. Learn what values are important to you and then practice what you preach until are become what you believe. Years ago, I was encouraged to write a mission statement and until today that mission statement still applies to all I do in my life. My mission to is assist others to discover, empower, and master becoming the best they can be maintaining respect, honesty, and integrity in all I do. I summed it up with the four slogan phrases: Do What's Right Be Your Best Believe the Best Be Kind, Always... This is the start of stepping back into the arena I love to be. I look forward to continue growing and becoming my best, no matter my circumstances. And, I do hope that I can be a part of your life. That is the honor I look forward to. I cannot thank my children enough for always being the ones to make me want to be my best. Now as they have all grown, the continues as each of their significant others get to impact me and build me to leave a legacy not only for my children but the future. This invitation is always an open invitation to building important relationships that build my mission and my purpose for who God has called me to be. Lord, never let me forget... All Matter to You...
