My new favorite person is Brendon Burchard. He is the author of the book, "The Charge", www.thecharge.com. It is free if you just pay for shipping. He offers three videos worth watching!!! I appreciate being challenged and then having a practical way to apply what I have learned. I copied his PDF of the 6 questions we need to ask ourselves every day. He challenged us to make videos to share with you all on impacting others and making a difference. I have decided to begin with a video on just being ORDINARY. I will share the path on finding ways to be excellent at being just Ordinary. Watch the video below that was inspired by my sister Viv Beck and Brendon Burchard, perhaps this will somehow impact and inspire you. It was in 2005 and I just read "The Path" by Laurie Beth Jones, and I have defined my mission by going through her book. I did not do this alone, I was mentoring women on a weekly teleconference and we each spent several weeks defining our personal missions. Here is my joy!!! I still like that purpose and now I have found a vehicle with which to pursue it. Here it is. My mission is to help others discover, empower, master becoming the best you be through honesty, integrity, and commitment in all I do. One of the leaders in ViSalus, the #1 weight loss platform, said it best. Johnna Parr said, "It is best to first start with yourself and do not let yourself down." So with that, I am sharing that I want to discover and empower and master myself so that I can make a difference in others. I begin with defining who I am. This was inspired because I stepped out of my comfort zone and joined a Toast Master Group so that I can gain confidence and competence in my speaking and communications. The video link below is my first presentation: an introduction of who I am... :)

So everything we do in life comes down to a decision!!! There is a fork in the road do you turn left or right? It doesn't matter except that you should respond rather than react. Reaction leads to frustration and conflict while when you respond you have had an opportunity to overcome obstacles that lay ahead.
My fork in the road? Well ViSalus had a great Vitality weekend. Do it or don't do it. A 19 year old young man said, "Well why wouldn't I. I have always been into fitness (I'm thinking your only 19 and he is smiling and happy) and it cuts fat, builds muscle, and it works. Yeah sure I am doing this!" Life is easy. When you make the decision to do it, go forward with a joy in your step and enjoy. Vitality in Orlando, Florida was terrific. Thanks Blake Mallen, Nick Sarnicola, & Ryan Blair... My fork in the road. To have or not to have a challenge party... Really? Just go do it... So I am doing it again... I am in a network marketing company. I believe that
the system of MLM is a great concept. I am just afraid because I am in the group of NFL: no family left :). I know many of you will understand. I could not just come in on the product even though my goal was only weight loss. Because when I have had success with the product I also want the reward of the company :). So I had been searching for protein shakes for over a year. Thought of going back to Herbalife, they still have good products but a difficult company and system. I tried Beachbody because my brother had been doing the P90X program for 90 days (just a side note he has done 12 - 90 day challenges there) but the Shakeology was hard to drink. In fact I sent a sample of those shakes to my family. We all did not llike them Bummer because that is the first time I have ever returned product. So, my friend Steve introduced me to Visalus a year ago and I said no. Now the timing was right and voila... I am in Visalus... I am doing the 90 day challenge to be FIT, FABULOUS, & FIFTY (well not quite 50 yet). That is the reason for doing the challenge. You see I made the commitment to exercise this year, but you cannot out exercise bad eating habits. So good nutrition here I come. Believe it or not since I have started with Visalus I have not craved CHOCOLATE!!!! Those who know me, know I eat chocolate and SUGAR EVERY DAY. Bad I know but it is worse than a drug.... So let's see how it goes. Victoria, my daughter, is doing it with me to. She is the reason I started exercising regularly too. Will keep you posted... |
