So everything we do in life comes down to a decision!!! There is a fork in the road do you turn left or right? It doesn't matter except that you should respond rather than react. Reaction leads to frustration and conflict while when you respond you have had an opportunity to overcome obstacles that lay ahead.
My fork in the road? Well ViSalus had a great Vitality weekend. Do it or don't do it. A 19 year old young man said, "Well why wouldn't I. I have always been into fitness (I'm thinking your only 19 and he is smiling and happy) and it cuts fat, builds muscle, and it works. Yeah sure I am doing this!" Life is easy. When you make the decision to do it, go forward with a joy in your step and enjoy. Vitality in Orlando, Florida was terrific. Thanks Blake Mallen, Nick Sarnicola, & Ryan Blair... My fork in the road. To have or not to have a challenge party... Really? Just go do it...

Wow so my mother and my sister and I were on a thinking session today. I was reminding them that EVERYTHING in life comes down to making a decision. Back when I struggled a little in my marriage, I know that may not have happened to any of you, but I was told that Love is a choice. Love is a choice, but it is a choice to get up and decide to be happy. Mama always told me if I woke up cranky to get back in bed and climb out of the other side of bed. It was a choice to make a change, :). Sometimes we make little changes that we are not necessarily aware of. for example, after I got married I did not make it back into the gym. It did not really effect me for a few years and then some 20 plus years later I am not sure how I was the biggest I had ever been, ugh. So much for my belly fat... I was just bigger and much encourage for many reasons for my weight gain: getting older, hormones, babies, slow metabolism... All of these were acceptable... BUT what about my choices!!! My choices to no longer go to the gym, or my choice to increase my food intake, or my choices to drink more sugar, and what about my chocolate, :). It is all about a DECISION. This year I made the decision to not be fat, frumpy, and fifty... I chose fit, fabulous, and fifty. It took more than 21 days to make my choices a good habit. It took almost 4 months but now the activities I have chosen have made a positive impact, pounds and inches gone... Visit www.AOWeightLoss.com for the updates, my 90 day challenge is almost done... So it is a decision to be Happy, it is a decision to get up and to what we must, it is a choice to be respectful. What do you want for yourself: to lose weight, to go to school, to find a new job, to run a marathon. Make it your decision to BE YOUR BEST!!! Make it a blessed day.
We have had a wonderful holiday break at the beach and enjoying all the relaxation and fun... Beach, sand, banana boat rides, purchases from beach vendors... but there is still more than just the beach to life. I did not stay as disciplined here and perhaps if I lived here I might be more disciplined, but I miss the connection of making a difference. There are still any blessings: seeing your daughter all grown up and enjoying the weekend, appreciating the friendships with those whom we shared the weekend, and the peace and calm that shows someone much greater than I is in control. The ocean brings a peace and understanding that life is precious and beautiful. The ebb and flow of the tide shows that we cycle not only through different decades of our lives but there is a daily cycle of forward and backward motion that controls the tides of our lives. I look forward to coming home and continuing my journey of BYB-DWR: Be Your Best - Do What's Right. Make the choice to enjoy life today.
How do you know if you are successful? When you were in school the method of deciding if you were successful and able to continue on to college was through a Report Card... How do you measure success when it comes to weight loss? You must keep record of your weight and measurements. That means it must be written down. I realized that I have kept records from the very first Bally's Health Club opened in the Chicagoland area in 1980. Yes I was young and thought I was heavy and what I would not give to have those measurements again... PS I am on a 90 Day challenge to get there. Read the up dates on www.AOWeightloss.com,
. So yesterday in church I was challenged to know how many prayers God has answered. It coms in the form of journaling. I am sad because I realized that I burned past journals and information and contacts because are all lost... So if you journaled today think about how strong you would be next month to see all that God accomplished in your life? That was my pastor's question. So, today I have begun journaling not only my prayers, but each section of my work, and of course I have the body map. 30 Day Challenge starting July 1st. To journal not necessarily here but in my journal to know how I can be stronger because of the experiences I will have. Blessings V- |
